  Hi everyone, welcome back to our travel blog! We are so excited to share with you our amazing adventure in Taiwan, a beautiful island full of culture, history and nature. Here is a summary of our trip: We flew to Taipei by Eve Air, a Taiwanese airline that offers great service and entertainment.  We arrived in the morning and checked in at Brother Hotel, a 4-star hotel near the MRT station.  This hotel hosts 7 restaurants. Breakfast is included. My favourite breakfast was italo-japanese style omelette. We started exploring the city by MRT and on foot. Taipei is a vibrant and modern city with many attractions and landmarks. We visited the famous Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taiwan and one of the tallest in the world.  We also checked out some of the temples and markets in the city. Munich

Visiting Munich during Oktoberfest. Planning this trip turned out to be a bit challenging, as most hotels were fully booked. Finally, hotel room is booked, the trip begins! Oktoberfest, here I come! Saint Lucia

The flight on Air'Canada's Rouge to Hevanorra International airport(UVF) in Saint Lucia was somewhat tiresome. We landed at a dusk hour and by the time we got in the mini van chartered by AirCanada it got pitch black, so we couldn't really see much outside of the van's window during our 1.5 hour ride to the resort.  Next day was dedicated to exploring grounds of beautiful Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia resort. Almost every night there was a show at the theatre Yes to breakfast on the beach! If swimming in one of the resort's infinity pools doesn't do it for you there is an olympic-size lap pool in nearby Rodney Bay LET HER INSPIRE YOU As much as I enjoyed staying at the resort, I wanted to explore lush shores of carribean side of the island. Toroko

 From Jiaoxi, we took another train to Hualien, a city on the east coast that is close to Taroko National Park. We went to Taroko National Park, one of the most stunning natural wonders in Taiwan. The park features a deep gorge carved by the Liwu River, with cliffs, waterfalls, tunnels and bridges along the way. We hiked some of the trails that offered breathtaking views of the scenery.

Tainan City

Our next destination was Tainan, the oldest city in Taiwan and a former capital. We took the high speed rail there, which was fast and comfortable.  Shinkansen We stayed at Silks Place Hotel, a luxurious and elegant hotel with a rooftop pool and a spa. We felt like royalty there.  We spent two days exploring Tainan's rich cultural heritage and historical sites.  We visited Confucius Temple located in the city centre. We went to Anping Fort, a Dutch fort built in the 17th century. We learned about the history of Taiwan's colonization.  We also walked along Shennong Street, a charming street with old houses, shops and cafes.  On the way back to the railway station, we visited Chimei Museum, a private museum that houses a collection of art, musical instruments, weapons and natural history specimens. We were impressed by the diversity and quality of the exhibits. Our next trip was to Jiaoxi. Nest destination - Hot Springs of Yilan

South Beach

Miami is a great getaway destination in winter. In January 2020 we went to Miami Beach to attend regional ART DECO Weekend. One, two, three plates and counting... waiting for a delayed flight 😫...  We arrived on Thursday night. Soon after checking in the hotel, we were strolling down the Ocean Drive. Ocean Drive this time of the year is one huge street party! By the time we got quite hungry,  so we turned down the street and went to  Osteria Del Teatro Next morning we decided to check out the Classic Car Show Time to do some laps. Dinner at  OLA Restaurant . The lobster ceviche with tomato sorbet was very good!  After day well spent it was time to go back to the hotel to get much needed rest. ...

I had a morning flight to Moscow. Got to the Munich Airport early, almost no one here... ... boarding is announced on time! Got to eat more food on the plane... Moscow transportation network is very complex and consists of trams, buses, subways, trains The financial business centre is called Moscow-City This has became somewhat common scene in Moscow Dinner at  BrisketBBQ Getting around the city centre often involves taking a subway train Going back - I am at the DME airport to catch a flight My first flight is DME - FRA In two hours I am at the Frankfurn Inernational Airport. I took a trip to Northeastern USA on civic holiday (Labor Day weekend in USA) The flight got delayed but watching Serena Williams at the US Open compensated for it Finally the flight boarding was announced It was a short flight, and soon after finishing my dinner I could enjoy the view of downtown Philadelphia Soon after landing I was checking in Sonesta Philadelphia Downtown Rittenhouse Square Hotel First things first, being hungry and all, I went to nearby Philly cheese burger joint Next day after breakfast I went to explore Philly downtown. Lots of history here, as Philadelphia played an instrumental role in the American Revolution as a meeting place for the Founding Fathers of the United States, who signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776 at the Second Continental Congress, and the Constitution at the Philadelphia Convention of 1787. Hot Springs of Yilan

 Our next trip was to Jiaoxi, a hot springs town in Yilan County. It is situated within one hour of scenic drive  from Taipei. We stayed at a hot springs resort that offered private baths with hot springs water in our room.  We enjoyed soaking in the mineral-rich water that was good for our skin and health. The hotel is located next to Jiaoxi Hot Springs park Jiaoxi is probably the closest hot springs resort town to Taipei  Local produce - bananas and pineapple We also went to Waiao Beach, a popular surfing spot on the east coast. We rented some surfboards and had fun riding the waves. The beach was clean and beautiful, with a view of Turtle Island in the distance. From Jiaoxi, we took another train to Hualien, a city on the east coast that is close to Taroko National Park. Next stop - Toroko
